Glimakra umbrella swifts are made from birch wood. Large swift holds skeins up to 100″ (2.75 yards) around.

Use it to hold your yarn skein for winding into balls for knitting or crochet. Shuttles for weaving.

You can clamp swift to stand vertically, as shown or you can mount horizontally which can make it easier to unwind fine thread/yarn.

This yarn swift is the best IMO. I have used mine for decades. Plus they will hold the largest of skeins. i.e. 1 pound yarn hanks.
