Schacht Flip Folding rigid heddle loom, is comfortable, compact, sturdy, and a pleasure to weave on. Designed for high performance, this loom folds in a jiffy for storage or transport.
Weave in comfort. Choose three different weaving modes: use the rear leg for hooking to a table edge, clamp it to a table for stand-up weaving, or install it on the optional convenient trestle stand. Fine-toothed nylon ratchets provide precise tension control. The conveniently located heddle blocks on the sides of the loom hold the rigid heddle in the up, down, or neutral position.
Flip is ideal for plain weaves and pick-up patterns. The exclusively-designed two heddle capabilities make sense of 2-heddle weaving for the first time (you will need two heddles of the same dent).
Warp in a flash. Included with Flip, are clamps and a warping peg for direct-loom warping. includes instructions for both direct and pre-measuring methods (using warp board sold separately).
The top cross brace allows long warps, up to 5-6 yards (depending on weight and winding paper), to be wound on the beams without impacting the size of the shed.

The heddle, available in 5, 8, 10 and 12 dents per inch, is made of durable ABS plastic, with large eyes and slots.
Trestle Floor Stand
Schacht trestle stand fits all of the Flip looms. Adjust the arms to position your loom from horizontal to nearly vertical. When the loom is in the horizontal position, it sits at just the right height for use with a standard chair. The quick-release system makes it easy to remove your loom from the stand for travel or storage.
As of October 2022, the Trestle Stand comes with hardware to attach the Flip Loom only. There have been numerous design changes to the trestle stand. Depending on when your Flip Loom was built, you may need an insert kit to install your loom. If you want to install an original Tapestry Loom or a non-folding Schacht rigid heddle loom, contact Schacht Customer Service for additional hardware required.

Reeds. What dent should I use? Dent is number of warps per inch.
5 dent, use with bulky or art yarns that have a lot of texture.
8 dent use with fuzzy yarns like Angora or Mohair or worsted weight smooth yarns.
10 dent, use with medium weight yarns, like sport or DK.
12 dent, use with thin warp yarns, fine work. Example, Silk scarves or cotton yarns for towels.
